Magiq in Action
We always think it is important to "eat ones own dog food"! So, we use Magiq to help us deliver you a better experience on this site...
We thought you might like to know some of the ways we use Magiq.....

Targeted Content on Search
Chameleon - Saatchi
We use a Chameleon gnome we've called Saatchi who adjusts one of the images at the foot of the front page (and its links), for visitors who arrive on the site from a search engine having used one of a number of "agency related" terms - like "agency, digital agency, client, designer, developer". Smart - Product Recommender
We us a Smartgnome we've called Product Recommender to show product-related banners in the left margin of many pages in the site (there may be one on this page right now!)... These are selected based on search terms which include words which we think are related to specific products. We use Smart to make this personalization, as we want to do it on lots of pages (not just a single page - which is what Chameleon does).
Because Smart lets us include several tests and outcomes in a single gnome's rules we can accomplish personalization for all 5 current products and about 20 search terms with a single gnome. (Copy and paste the thumbnail to see his instructions).
Targeting Content on Locale
Britter and friends
We have a set of Smart gnomes called Britter, Auzi, Canada, Indi, etc. who try and make visitors welcome by showing them their national flag, and saying "hello", or if they are returning visitors saying "Welcome Back"!
You will find these flags on many pages in the right banner - if your country has not been provided with a gnome, then this will not happen, but drop us a line and we might hire one for you! (Copy and paste the thumbnail to see his instructions).
Zoorick
We bill for Magiq's services in US dollars, but for visitors from the European Union and the UK we switch the main banner on the home page into their local currency using a Locale gnome called Zoorick. He will only work in these countries, others are shown the dollar price.
Note that there are other gnomes also working on this image, and if they decide they want to make a change then Zoorick may not get to do his money changing thing. (Copy and paste the thumbnail to see his instructions).

Lance
So, to prevent you becoming bored with the site we have a Smart gnome called Lance who cycles round (get it!) three different images on the home page based on how often you have been to the site...(Copy and paste the thumbnail to see his instructions).
